Ryan Geffre, 21, running across the finish line for the Sanford Health Half Marathon on September 7, 2008, in Sioux Falls. There were 979 runners. Ryan finished in 130th place in 1 hour 40 minutes, and in 10th place for his age group. Ryan is a junior at the University of Sioux Falls. He also has had Type I Diabetes his whole life and controls his blood sugars with an insulin pump, which makes it possible for him to run 10 miles a day. Ryan is the son of Jim & Peggy Geffre of Aberdeen, and Grandson of Don & Kittie Wade of Flandreau. |
