Ruth Ann Lone Bear was born on April 15, 1985 to Ronald Bennet Lone Bear and JoVonne Fox in Hazen, ND.  She attended grade school at Beulah, ND, and then moved to Flandreau, SD in October 1997.  She graduated from Flandreau High School and received her high school diploma in May of 2003.  While in high school, she worked at the Flandreau Bakery.  Then after graduating, she went to work at the Royal River Casino as a hostess.

Ruth enjoyed reading, listening to music, and also had a love for dancing and baking.  Ruth was never seen without that smile; she loved her family and had many friends.  Ruth will be forever missed and loved by those that had the pleasure of knowing her.

Ruth was the sister of three brothers: Troy Fox, Washburn, ND, Nelson White Tail Jr., Flandreau, SD, Ronald Lone Bear, Dickinson, ND; and four sisters, Roberta Lone Bear, Flandreau, SD, Jewell White Tail, Corona, CA, Ruby Lone Bear, Dickinson, ND, Lena Lone Bear, Dickinson, ND.  She also had several nephews and one niece.
