Pink Shawl Project - Tracy Baum - Project Director

 To all  of the wonderful people that gave their time, talent, energy and prayers to the Pink Shawl Project and honoring dance held Saturday night, July 19th, at the wacipi.

Shawl makers: Leet Bailly, Marisa Hare, Doreen Bird, Yvette Bursheim, Adele Davis, Sandy Fluery, Annie Garcia, Jodeen and Jadeen Hansen, Edie Hoff and family, Claudine Lagge, Priscilla Lee, Marge Martin, Patty Thunder Hawk, Bev Wakeman, Marcie and Annie Wakeman, Myrna Weston-Louis, and Warlene Yellow Cloud.

There were 47 shawls given out at this year’s Wacipi.

I also want to thank Congresswoman  Stephanie Herseth Sandlin for helping present the pink shawls to the ladies that participated.

I hope I haven’t left anyone out. This is a community project and it is the effort of everyone together that made the whole thing possible and a success.

The Pink Shawl Project was funded under the Susan G. Koleman Foundation and is part of the one year project of Wellness for Women activities, there will be a Health Fair this October, watch for announcements  and flyers.
