Grace Moore Senior Citizens Center Hosts Spring Fling

Thursday, April 17th the Grace Moore Senior Citizens Center (GMSCC) hosted a Spring Fling at the Royal River Casino Royal Room.  The members of the GMSCC were invited plus a guest for an evening adult get together for a night of bingo and various board games, refreshments, music, conversation and last but not least FUN!

(Pictured to the right from l to r: Sally Allen GMSCC Cook, Lillian Beane seated, and Pam Bryd standing.)

On the menu during the evening were chicken & tuna salad finger sandwiches, and huge fruit & veggie trays with dips.  GMSCC Director Sara DeClerk brought cakes for the event Chocolate cherry Black Forrest layer cake, fresh strawberry shortcake, lemon raspberry cake, and coconut cake.  The cakes and trays where beautifully arranged with a spring bouquet of flowers, it was a very inviting environment with the soothing sounds of big band music and Frank Sinatra that played throughout dinner.

Pam Bryd couldn’t resist after the meal she presented Lillian Beane with a crystal tiara and the title of Spring Fling Queen for being the youngest in spirit attending the event. After dinner Sara DeClerk began a game of bingo and all who wanted to participate could and hopefully win various prizes.

It was a wonderful night of fellowship and fun for all who attended.

The Grace Moore Senior Citizens Center is grateful to the Royal River Casino for hosting the event and to Laureen Herrick Group Sales Coordinator & the Group Sales staff for their help.
