
A farewell dinner was held for Dawn Bucher, Certified Nurse Practitioner, on December 14th at Eastman Hall from 5-7p.m. Friends, staff and patients of Dawn’s gathered for an evening meal catered from Hy-Vee Stores, Brookings, SD.
Ms. Bucher was employed at the Flandreau Santee Sioux Health Clinic since 2005. Dawn’s last day of employment at the clinic was December 15th. She will be relocating to Florence, Arizona and promised to keep in touch with us here at Flandreau.
Gifts were given to Dawn in honor of her working for the Tribe and community. The Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe gave her a Native American designed tee pee wall hanging and the Clinic gave her a painting by artist Joanne Bird.
The Planning Committee and hostesses for the farewell dinner were: Deb Wakeman, Ledora McDougle, Adelle Davis, Tammy Lovejoy, Doreen Bird, Bobbi Christiansen and Laura Rederth.
The dinner was a thank you to Dawn for all her years of service to the Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe and the community.
